OUR PRAYER MINISTRY

Prayer is a very important part of a Christian's life. The people of SouthCross Community Church take prayer very seriously. In addition to prayer in our worship services, we hold an open prayer time every Wednesday night from 8:45pm until 9:45pm. It is hosted by 2 people from the congregation, with other members and guests always welcome.

Twice a year we hold "Prayer Vigils". We decorate the sanctuary (see photo at lefts) to create an especially meditative atmosphere.  Prayer Vigils are held on a Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight.

You do not have to be a member of the church to come to these special prayer times. Normally everyone prays silently with soft music playing. It is very peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. Come and share your burdens with God and relax! If you don't feel comfortable coming in to pray, just click on the "prayers" email address in the box above, and submit your own prayer request. It is our privilege and our joy to pray for you.

Jesus said to pray to the Father often. As Jesus said in Matthew 21:22, "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. (NIV)" Prayer is one of the practical ways love expresses itself. Jesus also said in Matthew 7:7, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. (NIV)"
